Since moving to Beacon in the Hudson Valley, I have been actively involved in my community.
During the city’s Centennial, I volunteered to lead the coordination and production of a coffee table style commemorative book, which involved working closely with the former and current Mayor, the Beacon Historical Society, many individuals and local groups. This book was sold at local stores including the Dia Art Museum and raised funds for additional Centennial events.
I was a founding member of the Beacon Dog Park and created its logo, signage and initial website. Currently I am the Chair of the Spirit of Beacon Day committee, which organizes and runs an annual Parade and Street Festival in Beacon. Over one hundred community organizations participate and the event draws around 3,000 visitors.
